Did you know? African Penguins are listed by the International Union for Conservation (redlist.org) as Vulnerable. Weighing from 5 to 8 pounds and measuring about 2 feet tall, they inhabit inshore South and Southwestern African coastal waters, coming to land to breed, molt and rest. Threats facing African Penguins include guano collecting, oil spills, competition with commercial fishing, egg collecting, and loss of habitat.

Original artwork: by SOZA artist, rendered in colored pencils for the California Academy of Sciences.

SOZA (Support Our Zoos and Aquariums) is structured to provide supplemental revenue - 50% of your purchase - to participating zoos, aquariums and conservation organizations.
