372 Pacific Octopus Flask

$22.00
Minus Plus

6 oz stainless steel flask with permanently attached screw cap. Hand poured epoxy finish. Decorated in the USA.

Care Instructions: Hand wash recommended.

Did you know? Which animal has no bones, three hears, changes color and uses suction cups to catch its prey? The octopus is a wonder, and the Giant Pacific Octopus is considered the largest octopus species in the world. The largest individual on record weighed an impressive 600 pounds and measured 30 feet across in length! Like other octopuses, the Giant Pacific Octopus is extremely intelligent, and has been observed opening jars and mimicking other species. Their population numbers are unknown, and they do not currently appear on any lists of endangered or vulnerable animals. However, they are sensitive to environmental conditions, and may be suffering from high pollution levels in their range.

Original artwork: by SOZA artist, rendered in colored pencil for the Monterey Bay Aquarium.

SOZA (Support Our Zoos and Aquariums) is structured to provide supplemental revenue - 50% of your purchase - to participating zoos, aquariums and conservation organizations.
