Leafy Seadragons (Phycodurus eques) are graceful, slow-moving fish identified by leaf-like appendages that provide camouflage among the seaweed where they feed. Besides looking like seaweed, leafy seadragons move like seaweed in the water current. Seadragons belong to the Family Syngnathidae, which includes seahorses and pipefish. Seadragons are a protected species, yet the health of their habitat remains at risk.
